Getting started

FeitCSI offers multiple options on how you can get it.

Installation .deb packages

If you have a Linux OS, you can directly install prepared .deb packages. This option is recommended because you don't have to deal with dependencies and all is correctly prepared after successful installation. Follow the steps in Installation & Upgrade for installing .deb packages.

Compiling from source

If you are an advanced user, want to edit code, or just try it, you can compile FeitCSI from sources. All steps are described on page Installation & Upgrade.

Virtual environment

Are you a Windows user? Or just don't want to install software on your OS? You can download preferred linux distro image and install FeitCSI tool. We create manuals for the most used virtualization tools Virt-Manager and VirtualBox.

Note

PCI Passthrough must be enabled.

Live USB or other medium

You can install FeitCSI on a live Linux USB drive.
